Night of Worship
Buckhead Church is having a Night of Worship this coming Thursday evening. Find out more about this on their blog. They’re even gonna stream the evening!
If you’d be interested in sharing this time with others, let me know and I’d be glad to host a few people here at my house.
New Neighborhood
It’s been a great time moving into the new neighborhood here.
I’ve been getting the inside scoop on the neighbors around me from Rich and other Access attenders. I’ve also been to a swim team practice and met some more people there.
I had been slacking a bit on cutting the grass around the new house (seen right). So, tonight was the night that I decided to trim is up and work on keeping the neighbors happy. While outside, I met a couple more neighbors who made there way down while working on their yards. One guy even loaned me his weed whacker.
I realized as I was heading to the grocery store that it’s been around eight years since I’ve lived in a neighborhood where I actually knew my neighbors and even longer since I had deep roots within a community. I had forgotten what it looks like and am loving every moment of it.
It’s great living in a place where everyone seems to care about those around them.
Survived the Weekend
Wow. It’s been a long but great weekend.
In the midst of a moderately busy life, this weekend was a big moving weekend. Both myself and Brian changed residences this weekend. It was both nice to have help, but also just crazy to move two places.
On top of moving, it was also a live speaking weekend at Access Church. Rich brought the message today. It was fantastic to hear the Access Story again and see people excited for what Access has to offer in the future.
I’m totally spent. Pictures from everything will follow at some point.
One click away…
Many times, you’re only one click away from someplace you don’t want to be on the web.
Other times, you click through one blog to another to another and find a gem…
This would be the latter.
Thanks to KSC who I found via another Twitter friend for posting this on his blog. Francis Chan has had a huge impact on my life and is easily in my top favorite communicators. Yes, this is accurate.
Drive In My World
I’m sitting in The Attic at North Point Community Church just before the final Drive 08 breakout session…
The conference has been excellent. It’s been a great time of learning and meeting other people. Although, my introvert side is ready for like a week of peace and quiet and being around no one. Oh well.
I’ve gotten to reconnect with SO many of the North Point Ministries staff which has been fantastic. Andy’s messages have been out of the park. I don’t know why this surprised me, but it’s just astounding the ease with which he readily and freshly explains the simple and obvious things of life.
Last night was a nice break from all the “conference.” We ALL (almost 2500) of us headed up to Brown’s Bridge for dinner and then Jeff Foxworthy. I had heard nearly all of his material, but still laughed SO hard.
Well, we’ve got one more breakout and then the final main session. Then it’s the drive back to Jax!
