Mixed Emotions
For those who live in Northeast Ohio, the trial of Bobby Cutts Jr. has probably captured at least some of those and has most likely pulled some heart strings.
I have watched little bits and pieces here and there of the trial. I was an acquaintance of the Davis family through church. I cannot say that I knew them well, but have no idea how they can be feeling. My heart completely goes out to them.
What impressed me the most was the mother’s reaction. During the victim comment section, the Davis family had a chance to tell Mr. Cutts how they really felt. It was amazing to hear a mother look this man in the eye and say that you’re forgiven. She told him, “I serve an amazing God, Bobby. A God that forgives and heals and restores people. And all I know today is that I do forgive you, and I know it is only through him that I am able to do that.”
Watching the coverage on TV, the reporters were blown away that she had this reaction. It totally blew me away too. Here’s a woman at what has to be one of the lowest points in her life who openly forgives someone who brought her there.
Thank you Patty for the challenge. Again, my heart and prayers are with you. Thanks for showing the nation and world along with your community and family, and even myself, what God looks like.
One Year Ago
Wow. A year. One year ago today I flew to Jacksonville as a contractor to simply help some friends. It was meant to be just a week here. I even flew back to Ohio. Check the archives to see the thoughts and events of then.
I never imagined then that I would be here today. Never thought that. I had no idea when I flew back from Ohio where I would be today. I am SO excited to be here in Jacksonville though. I love the people that I’ve met. I love the people that I haven’t met yet. I love those that have jumped into Access Church over the last 12 months.
It has been a crazy life-altering journey over the last 365 days. I’m so glad that God opened this door.
What are these for?
So, I stopped in the grocery store the other day. I came across these in the bathroom…

Why are they in here? What problems have they had lately?
A Night At The Isle
With President’s Day and an extra day off at the Bux, I decided to go visit a great friend in Orlando. Dinner was great. It was quick and very tasty.
From there, we went to one of my favorite Disney spots, Pleasure Island. I love PI because of the interesting situation it provides. It’s the area of Disney that’s specifically targeted toward an adult crowd. It’s not that the parks are designed for just kids, but that kids are the main target. It’s brilliant design.
So yeah, after dinner we headed to PI. We caught up and saw a show at the Comedy Warehouse. He had to take off for something else. I still had some time before needing to head back, so I stuck around.
I was waiting for a show to start at the Adventurers Club when something struck me as odd. There were several people around me with headphones in and with devices (an iPhone and PSP to be exact) playing things. What’s strange is that Disney is the ultimate at providing nearly constant entertainment. This is especially true in the Ad-Club. There’s always something going on. These people seemed oblivious to all of that. It was crazy! And one lady even left her iPhone buds in during the show! So rude.
Oh well. All in all it was a great night.
